What are the pros? Color, unique texture

What are the cons? Monster plant size

This is my first year growing sweet potatoes. From three slips planted in mid-May we harvested 13.7# of sweet potatoes by September 9th (largest individual potato was 886g). The planting position got about 7-8 hours of direct sun, and was very protected from any wind. When the slips came in April it was too cold to plant them out so we started them in compostable pots indoors under grow lights. I would probably do this again, regardless of weather, as it helped the little slips to recover from the mail and go through our standard indoor>cold frame>planted out progression. We had an incredibly dry summer but the plants never seemed to suffer and coped well with deep watering 3x weekly. The vines themselves were enormous. They were planted in a 36 sq ft bed and completed outgrew it. When roasted their texture was very dense compared to sweet potatoes I've gotten from the store and the flavor less sweet and more complex. *Very* delicious and eye catching on the plate!
