60 days. Smooth, straight, dark-green fruit, 18” long. Flesh is very crisp, tender and mild; superb flavor. Very few seeds, vigorous high-yielding vines, great for greenhouse production; also good cultured outdoors. This is an excellent English heirloom variety, introduced around 1897.

What are the pros? Long and sweet,no hard seeds

What are the cons? End of season borers get in

Review:

We got hooked on this type cucumber about 45 years ago in England while in Air Force. Searched for the plants when we came home but never found what we were looking for until about three years ago in the Baker Creek Seed Catalog. Bought a pack of seeds and loved them. Exactly what we wanted. We give away so many to friends and family we can't count them. I grow them from seed in my raised bed. They climb up the cattle panel fencing I bought at Tractor Supply , it forms an A-frame structure over the plants so they can hang down and grow long and straight. And they really are burp less, we just don't fool with any other cucumbers anymore.

What are the pros? good in the garden

What are the cons? not set fruit in the greenhous

Review:

In my garden the cucumber is doing fine but I didn't trellis and the cucs are curved but tasty in the green house the plant looks great and has lots of flowers but no cucumbers not even one. I have a Manny cucumber also in the green house and it is producing cucumbers. I'm thinking that it isn't really a greenhouse cucumber or I am not doing something I should.

What are the pros? Plenty of cucumbers

What are the cons? Eventually succumbed to borers

Review:

Started these indoors. Planted them in early May 2016. These produced heavily with great tasting English style cucumbers. As all of my cucumber/squash plants, the vine borers got to these by the end of the summer. Will definitely plant these again.
