What are the pros? Good soil, warm weather
What are the cons? Bad soil, extreme heat, cold.
These are a delectable tasting eggplant, very tender and with a delicate taste. They don't grow as well as the common purple varieties do, but they are worth the extra effort. The quality of soil can make a *huge* difference, as these do very poorly in poor soil. They also don't like extreme summer heat, but will usually survive to the fall, during which they will produce until the weather gets too cold.
Here in Phoenix, Arizona, these will survive the winter and continue to grow the next year. I have had some live for three seasons.
These will not grow well in cooler climates. The really need a long warm growing season to perform at their peak.
Give these VERY good soil, warm growing season, and they will grow very well and produce prolifically.
