What are the pros? Fast, strong, disease resistan
What are the cons? Lots of foliage, few beans
I planted these in September and am harvesting dry beans in December. Grew extremely fast and strong. Outgrew my trellis multiple times and spread to cover nearby plants. Nice large pods with 4-7 beans each. To be honest I didn't eat many green as I was mainly growing these out to produce more seed. Dry beans are a variety of sizes but about a third are monsters. Nice, plump and large. Markings are cool and get much darker as they dry.
My biggest concerns with these were how few beans I got for the amount of plant and the way the dry. I plan to give them more space for a better harvest. When they dry on the plant the pods split like a Poppy and fling the seeds out. I have to harvest them early and dry them indoors to ensure they don't get thrown all over the garden. This bean would easily reseed itself.
Will grow again. Excited to get more on my next batch.
