What are the pros? Any container, any medium

What are the cons? None

Review:

Our three cats love eating leaves off almost any plant indoors or on the porch, but as long as they have abundant barley (this one in particular), they leave the other plants alone. Loki (age 13) actually meows—whines, really—for it if there's not enough or if he can't get to it. We actually ended up with a ton of grass in our jade plants after some seeds fell into the pots from our neighbors porch above. It was providential! As long as there is cat grass in the pot, the cats don't eat the other plant. I've started adding cat grass to any indoor plant the cats might otherwise chew on.

What are the pros? easy and quick to grow

What are the cons? cat still prefers my palm tree

Review:

It sprouted quickly and grew well even in a non-ideal spot (north facing windowsill). My kitty likes it, but she still likes my palm tree better.

What are the pros? Quick to sprout and mature

What are the cons? none

Review:

This seed sprouted within 3 days for me and is quick to mature to a nice size. I started mine under a grow light that I leave on 24/7 with some other flower starts and this had sprouted in 3 days at temps ranging from 60-75 degrees, kept moist. A good choice for those with little patience for starting seeds, and cheaper overall than buying catgrass from the pet store!

What are the pros? sprouts fast

What are the cons? dies fast

Review:

This cat grass sprouts and grows very quick and easy (just a few days). It thrives well indoors so my cat can eat it in my apartment right out of the container! It does dry out and die quickly, too, so don't expect it to last very long and be prepared to re-plant frequently. Your cat will love you for it.

What are the pros? Easy, pretty, cat adores

What are the cons? None

Review:

I tried this in 2013 and my cat adored it! Just sowed in some seed starting mix in a restaurant to-go bottom, watered, sealed up, and presto! Beautiful variegated grass that my cat went nuts over. Even ordered another packet and made a container for my friend's cat.
