Our favorite new flower for 2017!
Annual that self sows in the garden. This stunning variety garners squeals of delight in the garden. The unusual striping creates an exciting effect, especially when planted en masse. This is the perfect focal point for the landscape or arrangement as the patterns and contrasting colors keep you wanting more. A rich crimson color is offset by transparent white, each petal subtly different from the next. Plants reach 2 feet tall, and the blooms are profuse throughout the season.

What are the pros? Glorious color, prolific bloom

What are the cons? None

Review:

This Cosmos is knocking my socks off. The blooms open a lovely dark chocolate red, then mature to a variegated deep red and white, similar to the pictures. The color is incredibly rich, and the bushes are more vigorous than my "wildflower" cosmos with two or three times the blooms per stem. Next year I'll plant them more heavily, paired with white cosmos. They're my favorite flower I've grown this year.

What are the pros? BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS

What are the cons? None

Review:

This is the most striking cosmos I think I’ve ever seen. The variation between blooms is fascinating, and the color is just magnificent. It has produced blooms much earlier than the other cosmos I’ve planted, and I’m looking forward to a long season enjoying these beauties. So far, it has had no pest issues, and is thriving in pots with red chard - which is a nice combination! I will plant this every year from now on, I’m sure.

What are the pros? easy to grow

What are the cons? short plant life

Review:

My daughter grew these in a pot and they did well. We had many blooms. The plants were very tall and the flowers were about the diameter of a small orange.

What are the pros? Beautiful

What are the cons? Bad seeds 2018

Review:

The first year I planted this cosmo I was very happy with the results. They were amazing! This year (2018) they struggled to reach 8 inches high and the blooms are tiny and solid. I had sent a package of seeds to my mother who can grow anything and they did the same for her. Perhaps a bad batch of seeds this year? I'll try again in 2019 simply because when they work they are worth the effort.

What are the pros? Easy to grow, beautiful red

What are the cons? Nothing to complain

Review:

I grown this flowers last year and I was pleased with results. Sawn in place in sunny location, excellent germination and beautiful red metallic looking flowers. Saved seeds and planning to grow again this year. My favorite Cosmos!
