This great “Blue” tomato comes from renowned heirloom/OP breeder Tom Wagner. Color is an incredible blue, with green flesh! We were impressed with its beauty and great flavor! The round fruit is around 3 inches in diameter, and is very smooth and blemish-free.

What are the pros? Cold weather reliable

What are the cons? Slow to ripen the first fruit

Review:

I lost my first fruit to BER but haven't had an issue with that since so I'll chalk it up to bad luck. These are quite slow to ripen considering how small they are. But not terrible, not like a giant late season beefsteak or anything. My absolute favorite characteristic is that it's doing absolutely amazingly in this crummy Oregon summer with very cool weather and lots of rain. Temperatures rarely go much above 75 even in mid July and it rains about half the days, although usually lightly. It ends up cold and humid the vast majority of the time. This tomato is doing very well. Didn't notice any blossom drop at all meanwhile all other plants have lost 100% of their flowers for the past several weeks. It tastes very good, too. One of the best home grown tomatoes I've ever had. Definitely try this if you live in a place with a shorter and/or cooler summer! Probably not a reliable hot weather tomato because it's usually one or the other.

What are the pros? early to mature, taste, beauty

What are the cons? Smaller fruit than expected

Review:

We grew 15 varieties this year and they’re just beginning to ripen. The first were the gold nugget, black cherry and yellow pear, followed closely by pail robeson, black prince and wagners! I feel lile im im at a horse race. Our plants are 5-6 ft tall and its the middle of June. We started seeds in January and set them out in mid April. You guys sell the best seeds. Amazing germination rates, and every plant is covered with fruit and flowers.

What are the pros? color, pests didn't bother

What are the cons? mine never seemed to turn dark

Review:

I only had 2 plants in 2018 but probably 100 tomatoes without even being in full sun. The bugs and hornworms seemed to go after the other varieties like yellow fire and lucid gem, and the critters left them alone too. Also their color makes them contrast well with just about every other variety. To me they taste fine with a good balance of firmness and juiciness. But I'm not a veteran tomato taster. For some reason, maybe being in partial shade, mine never seemed to turn dark like the one in the photo, but rather stayed yellow on the outside. Still I highly recommend.

What are the pros? Taste, color, prolific

What are the cons? Genetic variation

Review:

This tomato is sweet and delicious. The green color is a great novelty and surprises my friends. The seeds I got have some genetic variation. Some plants had 3 inch diameter fruits, but some had cherry tomato fruiting pattern, producing 1-inch diameter fruits consistently. All of them were "blue-green" in color. I don't know if there was a mixup or something. All of the fruits are delicious and taste the same. The plant is vigorous and the leaves have a blue tinge to them.
