This great “Blue” tomato comes from renowned heirloom/OP breeder Tom Wagner. Color is an incredible blue, with green flesh! We were impressed with its beauty and great flavor! The round fruits are around 3 inches in diameter, and are very smooth and blemish-free.

What are the pros? Color, texture

What are the cons? Too hard to tell when ripe

Review:

I realllly wanted to love this variety. I was very excited for this unique tomato. However, when these plants were finally ready to pick they were hard and tart. It was like they just wouldn't get ripe! They flowered well and produced, but we didn't understand them well enough. Maybe it was just us?

Review:

Vines were healthy and pest free. Very productive and still producing in October! Juicy and sweet if you let them ripen. The unripe ones made a great green enchilada sauce. I had several that grew to 4 inches. They also keep very well-a new favorite for us!

Review:

I love Wagner Blue-Green!! But it should be called Wagner Blue-Green-purple-orange! It's so stunning from fruit setting to fully ripe. It seems folks are not picking these ripe... I can't imagine not liking the incredible flavor! Dense and meaty great skin texture and flavor similar to green zebra. It's not hard to tell if they're ripe if you simply wait for the fruit to have an orange/yellow color with dark purple at the top. The only drawback is later to ripen... but well worth the wait!! ????

Review:

So sweet to eat, so fun to grow! Started my plants indoor, moved to my greenhouse in April and then into my garden mid May. Grew two plants organically in an outdoor garden with raised beds. Mixed Fox Farm with our local soil. They produced a HUGE yield of tomatoes all the way up until our first frost (October). They grew to be 7 feet tall! Their size was on the medium scale. Very sweet taste, almost like candy. I personally enjoyed them fried, in sandwiches, with fish and in salads with fruit mixed in!
