What are the pros? Sweet flavor
What are the cons? Didn't plant enough!
I live in zone 6. Started these peas in May and they are doing well in the summer heat. Have had record rainfall this year, temperatures are in upper 90's. Getting ready to plant more for the fall!

What are the pros? Tons of peas
What are the cons? none
Peas plants over 6ft tall. Double rows along 4ft fence, fences spaced 3 ft. All peas must have germinated because can't get down between fence rows. Sweet Corn was planted in same location last year.
Picking peas daily. Will grow Wando again next year but will space fence rows further apart.
What are the pros? no bugs
I live in zone 8, southern Mississippi and I will probably try these again next year. I just did not have any luck with them this year.

What are the pros? grew quickly
What are the cons? expected more
this was one of the first vegetables I ever planted this past summer. My kids planted and trellised them in raised beds. I expected 'bushier' plants, but these were a bit scrawny and didn't grow very tall. I'm hesitant to blame the seeds though because we're new to this. We planted in the spring and in the fall. Each planted produced a few pods, nothing ready at the same time to be a full side to a meal. Once again, not sure if that's due to my lack of knowledge. I have no idea what these taste like, the kids ate them straight from the garden raw.....sneaking them off the plant so they didnt have to share. The seeds grew fast and were exciting for the kids to see. I think all of them grew...it's hard to keep count when a three year old plants them!

What are the pros? Heat/drought tolerant
What are the cons? None
Excellent pea for growing in the South! I planted late and we hit 98F at the end of May- still producing beautifully! Skipped some watering, too. Overall hardy, easy to grow, and great flavor.
