Bread wheat from Syria, where the semi-dwarf plants are usually grown under irrigation. This variety was released in 1983. In Syria it is grown as a spring wheat; our grower in Montana reports that he has grown it successfully both as a winter and as a spring variety. He adds that he prefers it used in pastries. We're so pleased to offer this unusual grain variety which was originally shared with us by our Syrian friend, Raghad Ghorani.
