What are the pros? High productivity, easy care
What are the cons? Some cracking
Of the large slicers, I have to admit, I have never consistently had as good a luck as I've had with this tomato. Seedlings do well, plants thrive, and production is higher than any large variety of tomato I have ever grown. This one out produces every other large tomato I have ever grown by 2-5 times the amount. Never do I have problems with blossom end rot, mold, or consistent and large cracks (but I do get some cracking after a big rain). These are always the first to produce and they just keep coming. They actually have a great flavor, which I still have a hard time wrapping my mind around in a "white" tomato. I have also used them to make homemade tomato basil bisque, and it is one of the best tasting tomatoes for this too - odd white color to the soup, but the flavor is fabulous. Three years growing them, and they are a keeper.
