80 days. Beautiful, snow-white flesh is so pale it’s almost transparent! The flavor is unique, fruity, and so delicious. The small, round 3-8 lb icebox-sized fruits are very refreshing and perfect for gourmet growers wanting to target high-class markets. These will add contrast to any display and are sure to bring attention at farmers’ markets. Whitefleshed watermelons were common in the 1800’s, but due to corporate agriculture, these genetic treasures are about to be lost. That is a shame, as white-fleshed varieties date back hundreds of years and were developed in Africa from wild strains. This early variety is not for shipping as it cracks easily, but you will enjoy its unique crispness, fresh from the garden.

What are the pros? Sweet with good flavor

What are the cons? A lot of seeds and cracks easy

Review:

This watermelon was easy to grow and produced quite a few melons. I like the taste, it is sweet but not too sweet. It does have A LOT of seeds though, so a little difficult to eat. It does crack easy, so be careful when handling. I cracked a few of them, but I will use them for jelly , so also good to use without having to worry about seeds?.

What are the pros? Unique tasty watermelon

What are the cons? Many seeds, but tolerable

Review:

Smaller watermelon, grows well, no issues with bugs, mold etc. Crisp with a watermelon/slight honeydew-ish taste. Different and unique, but taste great!! Several seeds, but imo, its worth it. Cracks easily, as i dropped one approx.6 inches and it split in half, but oh well. Try it, people at work were amazed at a white fleshed watermelon when i brought it there.

What are the pros? Sweet, refreshing, juicy

What are the cons? Lots of seeds

Review:

Grew like a champ. Lots of fruits with a low mortality rate. Wait to harvest until stem slips for optimum flavor. Mid sized melons, about the size of a volleyball. Very sweet, faint citrusy after taste, juicy without being drippy, if that makes sense. Super refreshing, especially on hot days. They have a lovely crispness to them.

What are the pros? Drought tolerant

What are the cons? Taste

Review:

I planted these seeds by accident, in the front yard as some were mixed in with a different order. I was surprised when I started growing watermelon without having knowingly tried and I didn't realize what it was, at first. I watered this perhaps 3-4 times last summer as were were in a drought and because I wanted to let it sink or swim and see what it would do with neglect. This melon hung in there and was prolific with vines up to 10-12 feet in all directions. It produced continuously and I harvested over 20 melons off of the one plant. It was in a front yard and plenty of people turned their heads. I was very surprised when I cut several open to find they weren't red (I was unaware there were white watermelons) and to try the taste which was close to cucumber. I didn't care for the taste or the firmness (reason for 4 stars) as I'm used to reds, but I'm open to the thought that perhaps if they weren't carelessly grown, they may have had a slightly different flavor.

What are the pros? Easy to grow, White-flesh

What are the cons? NIL

Review:

Some review says taste like cucumber, so trying to grow a bit longer until the vine turns brown. (around 35 days after fruit set after pollination) The taste is quite unique, mix of sour, sweet, and watermelon favor, can say it is quite refreshing. BRIX ~8% near the center but the taste near rind is quite pale. The flesh color is white but carry a bit of yellow. Would plant again next year
