Review:

I planted the seeds in Jiffy seed starter mix last September. I transplanted the healthy little seedlings to a small bed near the end of our driveway when they were well-rooted. I had ammended the bed with peat moss and raised it up because our soil is heavy with a good bit of red clay content. It is a very good thing that I raised it up because we have had a lot of wet weather for a year. The pansies are beginning to bloom more now and in a nice variety of colors. We have a solid deep purple with longish stems, a white with a face and shorter stems, canary yellow with a face, a lighter shade of purple that is solid, a pretty shade of sky blue, a wine shade and maybe another color. When we pick them I can’t smell a fragrance until they are placed in a small vase and are sitting on the kitchen table. Their fragrance begins to develop and it is so pleasant. I had never heard of ice pansies until I saw them advertised here. It is so worth the wait of starting them from seeds!
