What are the cons? Squash bug wreck havoc
One growing season winter came early so I harvested the unripe green pumpkins and they made delicious soup. Ripen they make the best delicious pumpkin pie. I try to grow them every year in my raised bed garden and one year they outgrew the raised bed and I moved a cage cover I use on some of my plants over to the raised bed and they grew on top of that setting fruit. Thank you for offering these old pioneer favorites again. It is a beautiful smooth pumpkin and easy to cut and I roast the seeds for winter storage too.
I recommend this for both ripen pumpkin and green pumpkin for soups, at any size they seem to be quite a treat.
I plant the seed and cover them because of the squash bug problem in MO.
