(C. pepo) A classic deep-green fruited zucchini that yields abundantly and tastes delicious. Bush plants are great for smaller gardens.

What are the pros? Fast grower, and large fruit

What are the cons? none

Review:

First year gardening, all of these grew well. One zucchini was about the size of baseball bat. Taste was excellent. Looks like the picture, but bigger. Only issue was a bad leaf mold problem at the end of the season, but it did not phase this plant as it kept producing!

What are the pros? Bush plants

What are the cons? None

Review:

I grew these in our family garden this year, and they produced fairly well despite our poor, clay soil and bad weather problems. It was rainy at first, and then turned hot and humid, so we had trouble with powdery mildew. However, we got some good sized zucchini despite the unhappy looking plants. Another thing that was very nice, was the bush plants. We didn't have to do much digging around to find the squash. Great variety! Will grow again.

What are the pros? Short compact bush, large fruit

What are the cons? Seeds are expensive.

Review:

I really like how compact this plant grew and as advertised, it is perfect for smaller gardens. The zucchini I have harvested are absolutely huge this year and I only used liquid seaweed fertilizer a few times early on. There aren't a lot of fruit per plant and it seems they produce only one at a time, but I'm new to zucchini growing. With that in mind, I was pleased with the taste as well. Highly recommend buying these seeds. I thought the few seeds I got very expensive but as it's an heirloom plant, I am going to save the seeds for next year.

What are the pros? Great yield

What are the cons? None

Review:

Grew these last year in a corner of the yard and got a great yield. Grew cucumber in the same area and they were unsuccessful, so am thinking this zucchini does well in sub-par soil? Just an observation. They grow FAST. One day you see a little guy. The next day he is a monster!

What are the pros? Tasty and easy to grow

What are the cons? Only got a few squash

Review:

These were very good zucchini! We grew them 2 years in a row. They germinate very fast and we got our first squash in little time. Unfortunately, not many came after that. The only downside was that the bees didn't seem to want much to do with them. We tried luring them with petunias but they wouldn't have it. May try a vine variety on a trellis next year. Hope everyone has more success than we did with these. They tasted great! We are in the greater Detroit area in Michigan. Maybe they will love it where you live.
