Zulu Sweet Pepper

This impressively ‘eggplant black’ colored bell pepper is crisp with thin flesh. It has an amazing piquant aftertaste of spicy zip minus the nip of a hot pepper, and this sweet pepper is sure to please even the toughest critic! Zulu pepper would be a great addition to salsa and salads. A beautiful pepper from Poland.

What are the pros? Prolific, large peppers

What are the cons? Purple from the start

Review:

These peppers are large and prolific. But sadly I have no idea when to pick, as they are purple from the start. I have been trying them, but they are always unripe, except one that turned red and was sweet.

Great pepper that thrived in my garden last year. Big producer with medium sized bell peppers.

What are the pros? Grows well at 46N in PEI

What are the cons? None

Review:

This formed the largest peppers outside. Normally up here I have to grow these bell types in containers in my greenhouse. Not these, huge peppers by end of July, which is unheard of here. Normally I would have to go with "King of the north", but these are fantastic

Review:

So far, this is the first pepper in the garden to fruit produce, with some jalapeno's hot on its heels. So far we have two plants each sporting a small pepper that is getting darker every day. They are easy to see and beautiful. No comment on taste yet, just wanted to shout out how well this new-to-me variety is doing.
