Bush, 50 days. Excellent production of a refined type, atop compact plants—dark green straight and slender pods reaching 6-7 inches. Stringless, tender and sweet!

What are the pros? None

What are the cons? Poor germination

Review:

Had to sow several times. Second or third try (last spring, so I don't perfectly remember the numbers) in my indoor greenhouse kit finally germinated instead of rotting, but then I accidentally baked my seedlings when I moved the shelves outside for hardening (didn't unzip the flap early enough). By which point I waited and sowed outside, three to four times, before getting germination. Used up every seed in the packet, and ended up with only 1-2 plants. Incredibly stunted growth, as in not even a foot tall, but as the bean seedlings I ended up buying never got taller than that either, I think the blame for that goes to my very nutrient-poor, heavy with clay, and alkaline 1st-year soil.

What are the pros? very productive; tastes great

What are the cons? hard to germinate

Review:

While I did have to replant about half of my seeds because they didn't germinate, it was worth the effort! These are the BEST tasting green beans, and the plants were very, very productive. I will plant every year, even if it's hard to get them started.

What are the pros? unknown

What are the cons? didn't come up

Review:

I got exactly 1 plant from the entire package of seeds I planted. I followed the suggestion to pre-soak this seed for an hour, definitely waited until after last frost, and watered the garden on a reasonable basis. I also planted (and pre-soaked) Purple Hull Pink Eye and Turkey Craw peas with pretty much the same bad results. The other beans and peas that I planted WITHOUT pre-soaking came up nearly 100%. I am going to replant without the pre-soaking an see if that makes a difference.
