What are the pros? Delicious and easy to grow.
What are the cons? Mosaic
This squash is delicious. It has that sweetness you get from a standard green zucchini but its fruit is in a rounded scallop shape. The texture is similar to zucchini as well. It is very tender when young, and becomes tougher as it is grows larger. Production rate is normal. The plant can withstand mid-day temperatures of over 100 degrees. The leaves are very dark green and rounded. Stems shoot upward and close together and it can be somewhat difficult to remove the fruit without getting scratched. The plant is susceptible to squash mosaic virus. Despite any difficulties in growing, it is well worth the effort and I will grow this again next season.
