What are the pros? Gorgeous, produced well, taste
What are the cons? Not much. I grew too many!
We grew three of these plants this year, and had so much eggplant! We're still eating it well into winter. Very productive for us (we had an abnormally hot summer with temperatures often over 100 degrees and rarely below 90). We treated them like the tomatoes, with fertile soil and a little bit of compost in the bottom of the planting hole. We had so many we gave away 5 bags full to the local food pantry!
Very tasty plants - I didn't like eggplant and only grew them because they were pretty, but now they're one of my favorite things in the garden thanks to Listada de Gandia. They tasted about the same at every stage, until they turned yellowish.
They're also the prettiest things, and give me lots of joy to see. Will always grow these.
