90 days. A stabilized cross that was selected by our seed grower, Larry Pierce. Medium-sized fruit are very flavorful and rich. They are nicely shaped, deep, dark black-red in color. This is certainly one of our tastiest tomatoes

What are the pros? Absolutely Delicious

What are the cons? Slow to mature

Review:

Wonderful tomato. Only drawback is they are quite slow to mature. Fairly disease resistant and taste wonderful in salad. Makes a great addition to my NC garden!

What are the pros? productive

What are the cons? later than expected

Review:

I had these seeds for 2 years before growing them. I was really missing out on an awesome tomato. Very productive for me in NJ and held fast through diseases one of the last to go down. Large, very tasty "black" tomato, beautiful fruits, very few misshapen ones. So sorry to see them end but will grow every year from now on, a new favorite!

What are the pros? Super Flavor & Healthy Plant

What are the cons? The deer tried to eat them

Review:

These plants have been producing more huge tomatoes than any of my other big-varieties. The flavor is so amazing (I am eating one right now) and it is juicy and meaty but not mealy. Flavors are sweet and rich. Biggest fruit so far weighed 2 pounds one ounce! If I had to choose between growing Pierce's Pride or Brandywine, Pierce's would win.

What are the pros?

What are the cons?

Review:

I just ate my first Pierce's Pride tomato. This tomato is now my favorite "Black" tomato. Pierce's Pride beats Carbon in taste! Fruits are large, dark, and have minimal Green on the top. The minimal amount of green gives more fruit to eat with the "Black" taste. Since the plant grew so well, and the fruit are so big....I might not grow another black tomato besides Pierce's Pride. You must taste this prize tomato!!
