85 days. Beautiful, smooth, large red fruit are globe shaped. Superb for market growers: good disease resistance, great yields, perfect shape and wonderful flavor. This variety was developed by Merlyn and Mary Ann Neidens, long time seed growers in Illinois. Bred from heirloom varieties; and has fantastic taste.

Review:

I cannot find any faults with this tomato! It performed well in my garden, producing a good amount of fruits which are the perfect slicing tomato. The taste was classic...I will be planting these again next year.

What are the pros? Beautiful, impressive fruit

What are the cons? None

Review:

I grew around 20 different tomatoes from seed. Some didn't produce as I expected . Tappy on the other hand, was by far the most productive of all of them. Beautiful large well shaped tasty fruit. I could not believe how many tomatoes I got from one plant. It is the last one to give up this year. I will be growing this next year, probably two or more plants. I will have to plan on using my strongest cages or buy one larger to hold up the plant. Thank you for providing this seed. It is definitely worth the space in ones garden.

Wow, if you aren't old enough to have tasted tomatoes in the 50's then you better try these! I had forgotten why I used to eat tomatoes like apples until I grew these. They are a medium sized tomato that put out all season.

What are the pros? Prolific and uniform fruits

What are the cons? None

Review:

I grew this tomato for the first time this year. The foliage was lush and green. When other varieties around it developed blight this beauty didn't! Tons of fruit. I planted four plants of Tappy's and canned over 20 quarts of that variety alone! Smooth, uniform fruit and easy to core for canning. Out of the 36 tomatoes I planted this yearTappy's was a standout!
