60 days. Smooth, straight, dark-green fruit, 18” long. Flesh is very crisp, tender and mild; superb flavor. Very few seeds, vigorous high-yielding vines, great for greenhouse production; also good cultured outdoors. This is an excellent English heirloom variety, introduced around 1897.

What are the pros? Plenty of cucumbers

What are the cons? Eventually succumbed to borers

Review:

Started these indoors. Planted them in early May 2016. These produced heavily with great tasting English style cucumbers. As all of my cucumber/squash plants, the vine borers got to these by the end of the summer. Will definitely plant these again.

What are the pros? Flavor

What are the cons? A little late

Review:

These cukes climbed our trellis nicely and produced a moderate amount of straight, thin skinned delicious cucumbers with small seeds. These were a couple weeks later than some other cucumbers and production isn't overwhelming--but still a cucumber that will be back in our garden.

What are the pros? Large, tasty, never bitter

What are the cons? None

Review:

Have grown these for two years. They are great producers with a decently long season. Fruit is very long and relatively thick, never seedy and never bitter. Should be trellised if you want straight cukes. Left on the ground they range from straight, to slightly curved, to exceptionally curled. Our local buyers love this variety!
