A great bush variety of long bean from Thailand, it is easier to grow in small gardens than the pole types. This variety produces 12” long green pods that are perfect for stir-frying. Dark reddish-maroon seeds.

What are the pros? vigerous,

What are the cons? needs support, long runners!

Review:

still waiting for beans. we planted in late april and again in may for successive crops. only this week are we seeing a few flowers, and beans do follow! not yet big enough to taste. it seems to be responding to the change in the sun's angle? the other long beans have been bearing for weeks and weeks. it is a little unhappy with 112 and higher temperatures, and low phoenix humidity... more, later! pam

The vines were longer than I expected but I had a good crop which produced until the first hard frost here on the gulf coast.

I also found these to be far from bush beans. I had runners easily 15ft long from these. I wish I was prepared to grow these as vines for better production. They are really good as young green beans, and also when mature. I'm growing them again next year where I can trellis them.

In my garden these were definitely not a bush bean, they had long runners and could have greatly benefited from a trellis system. Not as high production as some of the other yardlong beans in my garden, i.e. Red Noodle.Dean
