What are the pros? delicious seeds toasted

What are the cons? none

Review:

these were very prolific. bug resistent too. the taste is nice and earthy, savory. The seeds are superb toasted...so save them! This squash is worth growing for the seeds to eat. I'm hooked.

What are the pros? vigor, fine texture, thin skin

What are the cons? none. seriously.

Review:

Consistently most popular winter squash at farmers market. Very smooth and very good as butternut replacement in soups. If cured properly and stored properly these squash can last at least 6 months in storage. Don't let the frost hit them though, it will shorten their storage life (thin skin). Bush habit growth, you can crowd them to 3ft spacings. Average weight 3-5 lbs. Have grown these for 10 years - outstanding acorn squash.

What are the pros? good yield, taste

What are the cons? colour of flesh

Review:

We live in mountain cool climate. The yield was very good, I liked the taste. The cons: the colour is only yellow. It did not store for more than 3 months (under less than optimal conditions). Because of its form it is a bit difficult to clean. I cook it with skin because it is almost impossible to peel.

What are the pros? high yield, hardy

What are the cons? size variation

Review:

Much hardier than a typical white acorn, with better flavor and higher yield. I had been searching for something to replace white acorns with and this is it, my customers are very satisfied!

First time grower. These were incredibly productive with multiple vines. Mostly baked and ate with butter and brown sugar. They made very good pies. I will definitely grow every year from now on. thanks for the great squash!!!!!!!!!!
