Colerizze

A most rare and ancient kale variety from Apulia, in southern Italy. With its feathery, curly leaves, Colerizze (aka Cavolo riccio and Apulian cabbage) is a brassica worthy of the ornamental garden, especially when it flowers in the spring. Colerizze has an incomparable flavor, milder and sweeter than many other kale varieties. Once commonly grown in Bari province, in the southern Murge mountains, Colerizze is now commercially available from one producer.
