90 days. A large drumhead cabbage, very cold hardy. A fall/winter type cabbage, stores very well. Introduced in 1924, it is an excellent market variety that is becoming rare.

What are the pros? grew nice big leaves

What are the cons? bugs ate it before i could

Review:

I planted this in the spring and while the outer leaves got very big, they were attacked by bugs and I wasn't able to get heads. I will try again in the fall.

Review:

I got a packet of free seeds with my order late last year. I hadn't even considered growing cabbage, but I had the seeds so I gave it a shot. Seeds germinated in less than 24 hours on a heat mat in my basement. They matured very quickly under grow lights. I had big, healthy plants to put out in the garden. We are about two months into the growing cycle so far and they are beginning to form heads. These have been very easy to grow. I'm looking forward to harvesting these soon, and if they continue to do well we will grow them again this fall.

Review:

I love cabbage and was delighted when Baker Creek sent me these seeds for free. The yields--here in the Pacific Northwest--were impressive. Not only did they yield large heads, It is November as I write and some are still the beds yielding fresh cabbage. I'll order these seeds in the future.

What are the pros? The Cabbage gives nice heads

What are the cons? Makes me eat too much

Review:

Well as the title said, everyone here loved this cabbage. I had it free with a previous order and it was a hit! The family ate most of what I had grown for sauerkraut. I had real ease growing it as a fall crop from summer (early july) direct sow. zone 5b here. I will grow more next year for sure.
