Annual. Dahlia-flowered type is one of the tallest we’ve seen! The flowers are extra large and brilliant amethyst-purple, with pale green centers. Fine for cut flowers but the lavish display is best appreciated right in the garden, especially planted en masse. Beloved in gardens since 1949. Fabulous!

What are the pros? Nothing

What are the cons? Nothing like the picture

Review:

Super disappointing. Every single one that came up was “single”, just a single row of wimpy petals. Color was not as vibrant as pictured. Also susceptible to disease. Not worth the space in my garden. Do not recommend.

What are the pros? So many blooms.

What are the cons? A little mildew.

Review:

These are awesome. Easy to grow and the vibrant purple blooms are out-flowering my other zinnia varieties. There has been a little trouble with powder mildew though this is happening with all of the other zinnias. Clearing out some of the overcrowding has helped with this.

just beautiful..little trick is to pinch them back a bit when they are about 5 or 6 inches tall to encourage lower side branching,,,,

Review:

These are great zinnias. You might need to stake them. Mine all died of mildew. I thought it was from spring humidity, but they died in summer on the south wall of the house, too. Then i figured out my neighbor's tree had powdery mildew, so no wonder it's been impossible to keep zinnias/curcubits alive. I might try the front of the house. But these are a great plant. Really beautiful. And theyre quick - i got flowets out of most of them before they got infected.
