Annual. Also known as pink Hawsbeard, this stunning European classic adds a touch of whimsy to the landscape with enchanting fairy princess pink blooms that take on the appearance of a “pink dandelion”. Doubled petals have a faint ombre from light to darker rose color. Perhaps the most charming note about this plant is that it thrives in rocky soil and waste areas. Freely scatter the seeds in otherwise difficult areas to invite cheery pink blooms all season long. This is also a welcome addition to the classic cottage garden. Plants average 1- 1.5 feet tall and make an excellent border.

What are the pros? Love the color

What are the cons? can't take the heat.

Review:

I loved the color of this flower but was expecting them to get larger than they did. Not sure if I did something wrong or if they are just small flowers. I live in the hot, humid south. These flowers had to be watered sometimes twice a day (those in containers). The heat and humidity seemed to really stress them out. I still loved the flower, just wish I could find something similar that grows taller and has larger blooms.

What are the pros? Easy to grow , very pretty

What are the cons? Strong bitter odor when handle

Review:

Nice, easy to grow little plant! Very unusual & not often seen in gardens. Mine reached around 10" tall or so. Pretty color & very whimsical. When kept deadheaded, it produced flowers for quite a long time. Had a very bitter type of odor when handled although. But it was worth it !
