Description
(Cucumis melo). Averages 90 days to maturity. A truly scrumptious bush type honeydew. This immensely juicy, sweet melon is about the size of a softball and perfect for growing in compact spaces like small gardens and containers. The tidy vines terminate at just over 2 feet long and bear clusters of personal-size honeydew melons. The Park’s Seed Company offered this variety in the 1950s; however, by the 1970s it was lost in the excitement of new hybrid melons and it fell into obscurity. Thankfully, this antique jewel is making a comeback as gardeners, chefs, and veggie lovers have started to resurrect some of history's forgotten heirlooms!
