What are the pros? Not woody, great flavor
What are the cons? Splinter-like skin
This okra has an excellent flavor, and I haven't gotten a woody one yet even though I don't pick it as often as I should. I'm sure they do get woody, but picking every 3-5 days instead of every day hasn't been a problem.
I do often go "OUCH" when I pick one up, though, because the little hairs on them can come off and stick in your fingers like micro splinters. I haven't had an issue eating it raw, but I pick it with gloves on now.
Anyway, great okra that will be my standard going forward.
Fries well, roasts well, great raw, and I'm currently trying out fermented pickled okra.
