Transformative Program Feeds Children in Africa with Meals and Gardens
Through its School Feeding Initiative, ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) is working to improve the lives of schoolchildren in areas hard hit by ongoing drought and food scarcity in Africa. For several years, ADRA has been providing a daily meal to children at schools in Madagascar, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Togo, as well as supporting school gardens and access to clean water and sanitation. So far, the program has reached more than 40,000 children.
Matching Gift from Baker Creek to Help Program Grow
Now, with the offer of a matching gift, ADRA has an opportunity to expand the School Feeding Initiative. To help ADRA meet its goal, Baker Creek will donate 100 percent of seed sales on Thursday, May 9, 2024. By growing your garden here, you are planting the seeds for education and hope across the world; let’s plant hope together!
