What are the pros? Easy to grow, vigorous, tall,
What are the cons? late producer
Second review. I am continuing to experiment with this okra. Last planting saw first okra in 3 months. Okra comes in slow but over a long period of time. Plants get very tall, over 10 feet. Can be pruned severely and the plant just continues to grow and produce branches and produce okra continously. Plants could live for years I believe. Very tasty okra. Plant once and you should have okra for a year or more. In the tropical environment this okra does have potential since the plants produce continuously over a long long period of time. Don't need much water. Only pest issue is occasional aphids on blooms.
Outgrows and outproduces US okra in the tropical environment over the long haul. I recommend this okra to someone who lives in Panama. Very easy to grow. I am currently crossing this okra with African okra to see if this variety can be improved on. I do not recommend this okra to US growers.
