Tomato Seeds,
Gold Medal
Description
(Solanum lycopersicum). The 1- to 3-pound fruit is among the smoothest bicolored tomatoes we carry and one of the most beautiful we have seen. Yellow fruit is blushing with rosy red that radiates from the blossom end. Lovely! The firm flesh is of superior quality, being sweet and mild. It has very little acid; great for fresh eating. From the late legendary seed collector Ben Quisenberry.
Growing Tips: Choose a location with full sun and well-draining, nutrient-rich soil. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Gold Medal tomatoes are indeterminate, meaning they will grow and produce fruit throughout the growing season, so regular pruning may help manage the size of the plant.
