Tomato Seeds,
Mushroom Basket
Description
(Solanum lycopersicum). A favorite variety, introduced from Russia. One of the most beautiful and attractive tomatoes we have ever grown. It is very ribbed and pleated, but otherwise very uniform, large, and perfect looking. Cream-colored speckles really make the vibrant, watermelon-pink fruit sparkle and glisten. Indeterminate plants produce a large mass of these fruit in a thick clustered area in the center of the plant. The flavor is sweet, mild, and good; flesh is firm and the seeds are very few.
Growing Tips: The Mushroom Basket tomato is a stunning heirloom variety that thrives in full sun, requiring at least 6-8 hours of it daily. Plant in fertile, well-draining soil with a pH of 6.0-6.8. Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid waterlogging. Provide strong staking or caging, as the vines are vigorous and the fruits can be quite heavy.
