Description
Bred in Poland, this is a lemon-colored version of a delicious Mexican staple. The fruit is firm, juicy, and very sweet; perfect for jams, jellies, and don’t forget the salsa! We also love these in the garden for fresh snacking and salads. Bred to thrive in the cooler summer conditions of inland eastern Europe. For fruit production, be sure to plant at least two tomatillo plants, as they are not self-fertile.
Growing Tips: Start indoors 6-10 weeks before last frost. Heat mat helps to warm soil and speed germination.

FAQ
How many plants do I need?
At least two. A lone Amarylla will flower freely and then drop its blossoms, because tomatillos are not self-fertile and cannot pollinate themselves.
What is Amarylla good for in the kitchen?
The lemon-colored fruit is firm, juicy, and very sweet, and it is perfect for jams, jellies, and salsa. We also love these in the garden for fresh snacking and salads.
How big do the plants get, and how far apart should they go?
Expect plants 3 to 4 feet tall, spaced about 24 inches apart in full sun. Plant them deeply, as they produce roots all along the stems, and give them rich, well-drained soil that is slightly acidic to neutral.
