Watermelon Seeds,
Cocoro

In Italian, Cocomero d’Oro means ‘golden watermelon,’ and this stellar variety from Tuscany-based breeders Gianluca Corazza and Lucia Cortopassi lives up to the name. (The name “Cocoro” is a portmanteau.) Corazza says that while they selected for size, color, shape, taste, and size, its color is ‘the main attraction.’ Both the rind and flesh are bright yellow, and even the leaves turn yellow at full maturity, making it easy to tell when the fruit is ready to harvest. 20 to 30 pounds at maturity.
